You are invited to join us to celebrate our 4th birthday at the newly opened Katumba Culture Hub, with offerings from the Katumba troupe and collaborators…
We’re throwing a WEEKEND full of festivities! Performances, workshops, music, dance, street parade, stalls, and lots more will mark the anniversary of our band’s first ever public performance four years ago: Light Night!
This year, we’re making the Light Night celebrations extra special with a TWO DAY Fiesta in our Hub in Toxteth:
*FRIDAY 17TH
As part of the Light Night Windsor Street Party, enjoy a range of activities and performances, culminating with a 70 Drummer Procession!
**SATURDAY 18TH
Drumming workshops, yoga, dance, Katumba shop with Brazilian goodies, Healthy bake sale, and more FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

We are also launching our FIRST EP! This EP release showcases our Katumba drummers playing compositions by Katumba’s MD Ritchie Tunstall: you’ll hear the Samba reggae and Afro Brazilian influence as well as the mixture of world rhythms that has made the Katumba sound so unique.
