Born and grown in Liverpool, Katumba is passionate about making a positive impact on health, wellbeing and culture in the local community.

In 2018 we refurbished and opened Katumba Culture Hub, a large multi-purpose community arts and culture centre right in the centre of Liverpool!

A fierce fusion of UK big beat, Caribbean calypso and the carnivals of Northeast Brazil - Katumba create an explosion of rhythmic revelry that you can't help but dance to

Katumba facilitate a wide range of drumming workshops for schools, community centres, private parties, businesses, corporate environments and other organisations.

Katumba is run by a small staff team, who manage performances, workshops, activities and all the cogs of Katumba - with the support of many brilliant volunteers!

BEAT IT is a Liverpool based health and wellbeing drumming project run by Katumba and the Liverpool Mental Health Consortium.

Created by Directors Ritchie Tunstall and native Brazilian Juliana Landim, Katumba is a community based drumming & movement project fostering mental & physical wellbeing.
