This month we’ll be celebrating Carnaval style. Fancy dress, Live Music, Positive vibes just like Brazil.

Festa Axé aims to keep true to its name: Axé (ashay), in Yoruba/Afro-Brazilian dialect means light, power, good vibrations which we’ll deffo have, given the programme:

8:00pm – 8:30pm LIVE MUSIC
Join in with our vibrant 5 piece band playing a mix of styles and music from Brazil including: Samba De Roda & Forro

8.30pm KATUMBA BAND LIVE performance!

8.50pm BRAZILIAN VERSION OF A CEILIDH a ‘Quadrilha’ to get everyone joining in

9.20pm Carnival Dance Time! Forró/Samba/Frevo/Funk-We’ll start with a demonstration and lesson of these fun traditional Brazilian styles, before we all get down on the dance floor!

10:00-11.00 Dance away to traditional Brazilian tunes like samba, frevo, samba reggae and more!!!

*Festa Axé is a night celebrating Brazilian Culture for and by the community with live music, drinks, forró dance and more!
