Katumba Halloween Parade
Every October, we invite YOU to be part of Katumba’s Halloween Parade and celebrations, with workshops, activities, performances – and Halloween Party for all the family!
Every Halloween, Katumba transforms Liverpool City Centre into a playground of imagination, inspiring and engaging audiences with big, bold, visual outdoor shows and performances; an immersive spectacle of drums, fire, lights, dance, theatre and more!
In 2019 we gathered nearly 200 artists, and over 100 members of the community to perform to an audience of over 5,000 in Liverpool alone – and an audience of 15,000 on all displays across the Northwest of the touring show!
Since then, we’ve been eagerly planning and creating an even bigger production to be both safe and spectacular!

This year, we’re excited to deliver ‘Routes & Roots – Festival of the African Diaspora’; two weeks of cultural and wellbeing activities – including the annual Katumba Halloween Carnival – celebrating the heritage, culture and wellbeing practices of people of the African Diaspora, and welcoming the whole community to join in. As featured in the Liverpool Echo, last year’s Halloween Parade was our biggest ever! Having secured funding from Arts Council England – we transformed Liverpool City Centre into a playground of imagination, inspiring and engaging audiences through a big visual interactive unexpected spectacle!
